"First time here.. and it will not be the last! Excellent service… beautiful atmosphere… the food choices that we had for lunch were not only delicious…but also presented beautifully. Gluten free options also a bonus. Our group of 4 were so impressed with everything about this gem of a restaurant. If you haven’t tried it.. please do!"

"This seems to be the best option halfway between Holland and Grand Rapids to meet friends for a meal. The place was busy, but not too long of a wait. Not loud. Decent food."

"Every time I eat at the Derby Tavern I have the most delicious meal! You can really tell the chef does an amazing job, especially on the sauce-work. The servers are great; Jae was our server tonight and she was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back!"

"Very nice restaurant, their pulled pork sandwich was delicious and they have a large variety of drinks and spirits. I had a Sam Adams cherry and they added two cherries in the drink, it was phenomenal! Staff is very friendly and attentive. Wonderful atmosphere. Strongly recommended."

"This place is a gem! Everything about this place is great. Lots of different menu items to choose from and there doesn't seem to be a bad option. Both cocktails were strong, unique and delicious. The sandwiches are amazing and the portions are generous. The chips appear to be homemade and will not make you regret skipping the fry upgrade. The service was also very fast, which was surprising since it was a full house. Truly nothing to complain about at Derby, we will be back someday soon."

"We love this place. We happened to stumble into it before realizing it’s Kentucky derby themed - funny because we are from Louisville, KY! The food is always delicious and they cater really well to gluten free needs. I highly recommended doing a fry flight at least once! Pretty solid cocktails. MANY alcoholic drink choices. I do wish there were less TVs as they are distracting from conversation."

"The food here was amazing. I got the slider trio flight and my table shared the fry flight which included an assortment of sauces. No one had any complaints about the food. Very generous portions. The only downside was the noise level. it was quite loud and hard to converse. Service was spectacular."

"Came in on a busier Tuesday night. Staff was absolutely phenomenal, service was fast and food came out within no time at all. The food itself was perfect. Evon, Tracy and our server Kendall were all so helpful and fast making the experience one to remember! Highly recommend!"

""One of a Kind" was a heavy yet delicious pulled pork sandwich. Hint: ask for extra pickle because they make the sandwich pop. The pork is very tender and delicious. Beer cheese and pretzels...can't go wrong...served piping hot. It was warm and cozy in the restaurant. We were seated immediately. Our drink orders were taken and served immediately. Our food was pretty quick considering the busy lunch hour. My husband gives the mint julep 6.5 out of 10. The mint leaf should be muddled into the drink 🙂 not just a garnish. Generous pour of alcohol though. We'll be back. We're excited to try the fry flite next time. We're so glad to have this new place in town!"
